![]() ![]() On Web pages, I may use Diigo to only highlight part of a page since the rest of the page may not be that important. ![]() Simply collect YouTube URLs and optional notes and paste them into Obsidian when it's convenient. That eliminates the need to take a YouTube note, put it into Obsidian, take another YouTube note, put it into Obsidian, etc. If you use a multi-clipboard like Clipdiary, you can capture a lot of YouTube comments and at some time in the future, paste them all at once into Obsidian - perhaps in an incoming page. Obsidian can help you visualize all that. Some parts of some videos may even be related to some parts of other videos. I have a bookmarks section on my personal website where I share resources I find helpful usually links to articles or books. If you capture specific parts of videos, those atomic parts are also addressable since in Obsidian they will exist as separate uniquely identifiable blocks which have timestamps that point to specific locations in a specific video. Once your information is in Obsidian, you can relate it to other things in your vault. In Obsidian you'll see timestamped links to places you paused in addition to comments you made about that part of the video. If you are using it for yourself, you can use it for free. The good thing about it is that you can customize it however you want, create templates for your specific needs, and set up relatively complex systems. When you're done, you can copy what you've done and paste it into Obsidian. In case you don’t know Notion, it is basically a block-based notetaking application.
